The people who came back from exile had lots of stuff they needed to do. They had to do 70 years’ worth of maintenance on their properties, plus they needed to plant and reap their crops, build their houses, rebuild their networks. But they hadn’t put the big rocks first. They had forgotten about the temple of the Lord.
